For more than 30 years, I’ve worked alongside performing arts programs — K–12, collegiate, HBCU, and beyond — as an advisor, designer, and industry professional. My focus has always been the same: helping programs make confident, informed decisions.
I started RonHelps because I kept watching directors carry too much — the music, the students, the budget, the vendors, the politics — often with no one in their corner who actually understood the performing arts world. Generic vendors and generic advice don’t cut it here. Directors deserve someone who’s actually done this.
That’s what RonHelps is: one relationship, not a platform. I work with a small number of companies I’ve personally vetted, and I only bring them into a conversation when they’re genuinely right for your program — never because of what it means for me. Your outcome comes first. It’s the only way I know how to do this work.
